Potty Party!

I finally decided to tackle it....Sunday we did an offical "say goodbye to diapers" potty party for Nathan. We just celebrated Matthew's birthday, and Nathan loves all things party....if they are for him at least! So, we did a little party, complete with a little cake (so he had a candle to blow out) and presents. He was delighted to be the center of attention, and we were ready to take the potty world by storm!

Now we're a few days in, and I'm HORRIBLE at this! He's three and a half, but showing no signs when he feels that he has to go, and doesn't seem to be bothered when he's wet. I'm surprised by that...and a little unsure of how to proceed. Sigh.....we'll see how the next few days go, I guess.

The potty party sounded like it was fun! Good idea! Keep being patient...eventually he'll learn...right?! Good luck!

I am there with you! I have to have Allison potty trained by September if she is to go to preschool. she is going to be 3 in September. Evan was trained by 2 years 8 months and she has not even made it to the potty ONCE! I put her in underwear, put her on the potty and NOTHING. Then she will hold it for 2-3 hours and finally pee all over. She tells me and is sad but never even tries to make it to the potty until she's already peeing and never will go on it if I put her on it. It's driving me crazy because I have this date she has to be done by, you know?
